Wadsworth Grizzlies (Wadsworth, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Avon Lake Shoremen (Avon Lake, OH), 11-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Grizzlies now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nordonia for a Suburban - National challenge on Monday, April 4. Wadsworth will face a Knights squad coming off a 8-2 non-league loss to Loris (Loris, SC). The Knights record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Avon Lake falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Shoremen host Berea-Midpark (Berea, OH) to face the Titans in a Southwestern challenge on Monday, April 4. The Titans enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
