Bryant Hurricanes (Irvington, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Gulf Shores Dolphins (Gulf Shores, AL), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Hurricanes now own a 20-4 record. They take the field next when they host Theodore for a 7A Area 1 challenge on Monday, April 4. Bryant will battle a Bobcats squad coming off a 9-6 non-league loss to Spanish Fort (Spanish Fort, AL). The Bobcats record now stands at 10-12.

With the loss, Gulf Shores falls to 10-9 on the campaign. The Dolphins host Spanish Fort (Spanish Fort, AL) to battle the Toros in a 6A Area 2 challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Toros enter the challenge with a record of 11-11.
