The Capitan Tigers softball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Lordsburg Mavericks to 8 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Capitan improves its record to 1-3 on the year. The Tigers travel to Dexter (Dexter, NM) to clash with the Demons in a non-league game on Monday, April 4. The Demons come into the game with a record of 3-7. Dexter lost 8-2 in their recent non-league game against Belen (Belen, NM)

In their next game, the Mavericks clash with the Tularosa Wildcats (Tularosa, NM) in a A/2A District 3 game, on Tuesday, April 5. Lordsburg will attempt to improve on its 6-3 season record. The Wildcats come into the game with a 5-3 record after their 18-0 non-league win over Chaparral (Chaparral, NM).
