Texas High School Softball - Lamar Consolidated bounces Fort Bend Hightower

The Lamar Consolidated Mustangs routed the host Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes softball squad by a count of 17-0 in Saturday's league battle.
The Mustangs (13-8) will now prepare for their battle against Fort Bend Willowridge (Houston, TX). The Eagles go into the 5A Region III District 24 battle with a 5-11 record. In their last battle, Fort Bend Willowridge was routed by Angleton (Angleton, TX), 15-0, in a league battle.
The Hurricanes now sport a 2-12 record. They play next when they travel to Fulshear for a 5A Region III District 24 battle on Friday, April 8. Fort Bend Hightower will meet a Chargers squad coming off a 13-8 league win over Fort Bend Kempner (Sugar Land, TX). The Chargers record now stands at 17-10.
