The Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers routed the visiting Lordsburg Mavericks softball squad by a count of 13-5 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The SonBlazers (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against Tularosa (Tularosa, NM). The Wildcats go into the non-league battle with a 7-3 record. In their last battle, Tularosa topped Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM), 15-0, in a non-league battle.
The Mavericks now sport a 6-3 record. They play next when they host Tularosa for a A/2A District 3 battle on Tuesday, April 5. Lordsburg will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-3.
