Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Los Lunas Tigers (Los Lunas, NM), 15-5 in a league challenge.

The Monarchs now sport a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they host Sandia for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 6. Manzano will face a Matadors squad coming off a 4-1 league loss to Farmington (Farmington, NM). The Matadors record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Los Lunas falls to 4-11 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM) to face the Demons in a 5A District 5 challenge on Saturday, April 9. The Demons enter the challenge with a record of 2-14.
