The Red Oak Hawks (Red Oak, TX) softball routed the host Maypearl Panthers (Maypearl, TX), 13-8 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Hawks (10-7) will now prepare for their bout against Midlothian (Midlothian, TX). The Panthers go into the 5A Region II District 14 bout with a 4-4 record. In their last bout, Midlothian was routed by Ennis (Ennis, TX), 6-4, in a league bout.
The Panthers now possess a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Grandview for a 3A Region II District 9 bout on Tuesday, April 5. Maypearl will confront a Zebras squad coming off a 14-2 non-league loss to Iowa Park (Iowa Park, TX). The Zebras record now stands at 19-2.
