In Saturday's league contest, the Shallowater Mustangs (Shallowater, TX) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Tulia Hornets (Tulia, TX), by a margin of 13-7.

With the triumph, Shallowater moves its record to 3-7 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Slaton (Slaton, TX) to play the Tigers in a 3A Region I District 2 contest on Tuesday, April 5. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 2-10. Slaton lost 7-1 in their recent league contest against Idalou (Idalou, TX)

In their next game, the Hornets play the Abernathy Antelopes (Abernathy, TX) in a 3A Region I District 2 contest, on Saturday, April 9. Tulia will attempt to move on its 7-7 season record. The Antelopes come into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 14-0 league loss to Idalou (Idalou, TX).
