The Needles Mustangs baseball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Laughlin Cougars to 0 in the Mustangs league victory on Tuesday.
The Mustangs (13-5) will now prepare for their match against Palo Verde Valley (Blythe, CA). The Yellow Jackets go into the non-league match with a 6-8 record. In their last match, Palo Verde Valley was overwhelmed by Valley Center (Valley Center, CA), 9-1, in a non-league match.
The Cougars (4-5) will now prepare for their match against White Pine (Ely, NV). The Bobcats go into the 2A Southern match with a 10-1 record. In their last match, White Pine was overwhelmed by Elko (Elko, NV), 14-0, in a non-league match.
