California High School Baseball - Santa Clara wallops Monta Vista

Santa Clara Bruins (Santa Clara, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Monta Vista Matadors (Cupertino, CA), 12-1 in a league test.

With the win, Santa Clara upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Bruins travel to Lynbrook (San Jose, CA) to battle the Vikings in a El Camino test on Thursday, April 4. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 5-8. Lynbrook won 10-5 in their recent non-league test against Gunderson (San Jose, CA)

With the defeat, Monta Vista falls to 3-12 on the season. The Matadors host Summit Shasta (Daly City, CA) to battle the Black Bears in a non-league test on Thursday, April 4. The Black Bears come into the test with a record of 5-3. Summit Shasta won 1-0 in their recent non-league test against Burton (San Francisco, CA)
