The Peabody Veterans Memorial Tanners baseball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Winthrop Vikings to 6 in the Tanners league victory on Tuesday.

The Tanners (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Swampscott (Swampscott, MA). The Big Blue go into the Northeastern - South match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Swampscott was overwhelmed by Salem (Salem, MA), 1-0, in a league match.
