The Fort Chiswell Pioneers soccer team scored 2 points and limited the visiting George Wythe Maroons to 1 in the Pioneers league victory on Tuesday.
Next, the Pioneers face the Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) in a Mountain Empire contest, on Thursday, April 4. Fort Chiswell will attempt to better on its 6-0 season record. The Maroon Tide enter the contest with a 4-1 record after their 3-0 league win over Giles (Pearisburg, VA).
The Maroons now have a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grayson County for a Mountain Empire contest on Thursday, April 4. George Wythe will face a Blue Devils team coming off a 5-3 league loss to Auburn (Riner, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-3.
