Maud Cardinals (Maud, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Avery Bulldogs (Avery, TX), 15-0 in a league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 14-8 record. They take the field next when they host Linden-Kildare for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 5. Maud will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 20-8 league win over Harts Bluff (Mt. Pleasant, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 16-8.

With the loss, Avery falls to 0-10 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Bowie (Simms, TX) to battle the Pirates in a 2A Region III District 18 challenge on Friday, April 5. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 14-7. Bowie lost 5-4 in their recent league challenge against McLeod (McLeod, TX)
