Belton Tigers (Belton, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Waco Lions (Waco, TX), 21-1 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 18-9 record. They take the field next when they host University for a 5A Region III District 22 challenge on Friday, April 5. Belton will battle a Trojans squad coming off a 13-1 league loss to Shoemaker (Killeen, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 6-11.

With the loss, Waco falls to 0-20 on the campaign. The Lions host Chaparral (Killeen, TX) to battle the Bobcats in a 5A Region III District 22 challenge on Friday, April 5. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 6-15. Chaparral won 27-1 in their recent league challenge against Ellison (Killeen, TX)
