Canutillo Eagles (Canutillo, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Jefferson Silver Foxes (El Paso, TX), 19-8 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 11-13 record. They take the field next when they host El Paso for a 5A Region I District 1 challenge on Friday, April 5. Canutillo will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Chapin (El Paso, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 18-10.

With the loss, Jefferson falls to 1-24 on the campaign. The Silver foxes travel to Burges (El Paso, TX) to battle the Mustangs in a 5A Region I District 1 challenge on Friday, April 5. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 13-10. Burges won 23-9 in their recent league challenge against Andress (El Paso, TX)
