Mentor Cardinals (Mentor, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Cleveland Heights Tigers (Cleveland Heights, OH), 16-0 in a league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to North for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 4. Mentor will face a Rangers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Lincoln County (Hamlin, WV). The Rangers record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Cleveland Heights drops to 1-1 on the year. The Tigers travel to Brunswick (Brunswick, OH) to clash with the Blue Devils in a Greater Cleveland game on Tuesday, April 9. The Blue Devils come into the game with a record of 3-0.
