The East Central Hornets softball team scored 6 runs and limited the host Stone Tomcats to 1 in the Hornets league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, East Central moves its record to 16-3 on the year. The Hornets travel to Gautier (Gautier, MS) to clash with the Gators in a 5A Region 4 game on Tuesday, April 9. The Gators come into the game with a record of 4-11. Gautier lost 11-2 in their recent league game against Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS)

In their next game, the Tomcats clash with the Wayne County War Eagles (Waynesboro, MS) in a 5A Region 4 game, on Thursday, April 4. Stone will attempt to move on its 12-11 season record. The War Eagles come into the game with a 9-10 record after their 11-2 league win over Gautier (Gautier, MS).
