Tioga Indians (Tioga, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Jena Giants (Jena, LA), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 19-6 record. They take the field next when they host St. Joseph's Academy for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 3. Tioga will battle a Redstickers squad coming off a 10-7 league loss to Central (Baton Rouge, LA). The Redstickers record now stands at 17-6.

With the loss, Jena falls to 16-10 on the campaign. The Giants host Grant (Dry Prong, LA) to battle the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 4. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 15-10. Grant won 12-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Marksville (Marksville, LA)
