Lake Creek Lions (Montgomery, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Montgomery Bears (Montgomery, TX), 12-2 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 23-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Magnolia West for a 5A Region III District 21 challenge on Friday, April 5. Lake Creek will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 20-6 league win over Rudder (Bryan, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 17-12.

With the loss, Montgomery falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Bears host College Station (College Station, TX) to battle the Cougars in a 5A Region III District 21 challenge on Friday, April 5. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 20-5. College Station won 10-2 in their recent league challenge against Magnolia (Magnolia, TX)
