Steele Knights (Cibolo, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host San Marcos Rattlers (San Marcos, TX), 7-3 in a league challenge.

The Knights now own a 10-10 record. They take the field next when they host East Central for a 6A Region IV District 27 challenge on Friday, April 5. Steele will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 5-4 league loss to New Braunfels (New Braunfels, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 21-6.

With the loss, San Marcos falls to 10-15 on the campaign. The Rattlers travel to Judson (Converse, TX) to battle the Rockets in a 6A Region IV District 27 challenge on Friday, April 5. The Rockets enter the challenge with a record of 9-17. Judson won 7-4 in their recent league challenge against Clemens (Schertz, TX)
