The New Hanover Wildcats baseball team scored 12 runs and held the host Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves to 8 in the Wildcats non-league win on Wednesday.

The Wildcats now hold a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Brunswick for a Mideastern 3A/4A test on Friday, April 4. New Hanover will play a Scorpions team coming off a 5-0 league win over Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Scorpions record now stands at 6-7.

With the defeat, Cedar Ridge drops to 6-9 on the year. The Fighting red wolves travel to Carrboro (Carrboro, NC) to play the Jaguars in a non-league test on Monday, April 7. The Jaguars go into the test with a record of 4-6. Carrboro won 15-2 in their recent league test against Vance County (Henderson, NC)
