In Wednesday's league bout, the Riverside Bulldogs (Avon, MS) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Charleston Tigers (Charleston, MS), by a tally of 19-2.
Next up, the Bulldogs encounter the Coahoma County Red Panthers (Clarksdale, MS) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 5. Riverside will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Red Panthers enter the bout with a 0-6 record after their 16-0 league loss to Independence (Independence, MS).
The Tigers (0-5) will now prepare for their bout against Leflore County (Itta Bena, MS). The Tigers enter the 2A Region 3 bout with a 3-8 record. In their last bout, Leflore County was overwhelmed by O'Bannon (Greenville, MS), 20-8, in a league bout.
