The crowd at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Southern Guilford Storm (Greensboro, NC) and the host Western Guilford Hornets (Greensboro, NC), saw Southern Guilford's baseball team gain a win over Western Guilford by a tally of 5-2.
The Storm (10-6) will now prepare for their battle against Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC). The Wildcats enter the Mid-State 3A battle with a 2-14 record. In their last battle, Eastern Guilford by Western Alamance (Elon, NC), 15-4, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Hornets face the Southeast Guilford Falcons (Greensboro, NC) in a Metro 4A battle, on Friday, April 4. Western Guilford will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Falcons enter the battle with a 3-11 record after their 9-6 non-league loss to North Davidson (Lexington, NC).
