Match Summary
Lake Balboa wins the first set 25-9! Uh-oh, can we win 2 in a row? Nope. And the roller coaster went plunging down... The Cougars actually outscored AMIT 87 - 84. Each side mailed in a set but the second & third told the tale of the match. In set 1 the Cougars roared off to a 13 -1 lead & never looked back trading points 12-8 to win. After a 4-4 start, the Griffins opened it up 10-4. LBCP fought back 14-13 then 17-14 only to have Alliance tie it at 20 then take the lead 22-20 which they never let go. Another battle royale in set 3, Griffins up 11-5. The Cougs gnawed at the lead until it was 19 all then led 22-21 but they couldn't hold it as AMIT surged ahead 23-22 only for the Lake show to tie at 23. The last 2 points at crunch time went to AMIT for the win. The Lake froze, down 3 zip to start the 4th set but battled back to 3-4 before the roof collapsed 8-3 Griffins. Another surge made it 12-5 followed by 16-8, 22-13 AMIT. A 4-3 finish gave the match to Alliance.
