Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) and the visiting Bear Grass Charter Bears (Williamston, NC), saw Holmes's soccer squad prevail over Bear Grass Charter by a count of 7-3.

The Aces (8-4) will now prepare for their battle against Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC). The Bears enter the Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, Hertford County by Manteo (Manteo, NC), 10-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Bears battle the Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Griffins (Elizabeth City, NC) in a non-league battle, on Monday, April 7. Bear Grass Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Griffins enter the battle with a 3-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Cape Hatteras (Buxton, NC).
