In Wednesday's non-league test, the Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA), by a tally of 7-0.

Next, the Raiders meet the Altavista Colonels (Altavista, VA) in a Dogwood test, on Friday, April 4. Appomattox County will attempt to advance on its 4-1 season record. The Colonels go into the test with a 2-2 record after their 7-4 league win over William Campbell (Naruna, VA).

The Lancers (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Rustburg (Rustburg, VA). The Red Devils go into the Seminole test with a 6-2 record. In their last test, Rustburg was routed by Alleghany (Covington, VA), 8-3, in a non-league test.
