The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the James Wood Colonels (Winchester, VA) and the visiting Clarke County Eagles (Berryville, VA), observed James Wood's softball team get by Clarke County by a tally of 4-3.

The Colonels (6-1) will now prepare for their bout against Fauquier (Warrenton, VA). The Falcons go into the Northwestern bout with a 5-0 record. In their last bout, Fauquier tipped Sherando (Stephens City, VA), 1-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Rappahannock County (Washington, VA) in a Bull Run battle, on Friday, April 4. Clarke County will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record.
