South Carolina High School Softball - Colleton County succumbs to May River

April 2, 2025: Walterboro, SC 29488

In Wednesday's league test, the May River Sharks (Bluffton, SC) softball squad overwhelmed the host Colleton County Cougars (Walterboro, SC), by a tally of 11-3.

Next, the Sharks clash with the Bishop England Battling Bishops (Charleston, SC) in a AAAA Region 6 test, on Friday, April 4. May River will attempt to advance on its 8-6 season record. The Battling Bishops go into the test with a 0-5 record after their 19-1 league loss to Hilton Head Island (Hilton Head Island, SC).

The Cougars (9-1) will now prepare for their test against Beaufort (Beaufort, SC). The Eagles go into the AAAA Region 6 test with a 5-6 record. In their last test, Beaufort prevailed over Bluffton (Bluffton, SC), 18-3, in a league test.
