The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Lexington Wildcats (Lexington, SC) and the visiting North Augusta Yellow Jackets (North Augusta, SC), observed Lexington's softball team notch a victory over North Augusta by a final score of 12-2.

The Wildcats (13-2) will now prepare for their bout against Irmo (Columbia, SC). The Yellow Jackets go into the AAAAA Region 4 bout with a 2-7 record. In their last bout, Irmo was routed by Dutch Fork (Irmo, SC), 12-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Yellow Jackets battle the South Aiken Thoroughbreds (Aiken, SC) in a AAAA Region 4 bout, on Thursday, April 3. North Augusta will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record. The Thoroughbreds go into the bout with a 3-13 record after their 12-7 league win over Brookland-Cayce (Cayce, SC).
