The crowd at Wednesday's league bout between the Middletown North Lions (Middletown, NJ) and the host Marlboro Mustangs (Marlboro, NJ), observed Middletown North's softball team get by Marlboro by a tally of 5-4.
The Lions (2-1) will now prepare for their bout against Point Pleasant Boro (Point Pleasant, NJ). The Panthers go into the non-league bout with a 2-0 record.
In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the St. John-Vianney Lancers (Holmdel, NJ) in a Shore - A North bout, on Friday, April 4. Marlboro will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Lancers go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 5-1 league win over Colts Neck (Colts Neck, NJ).
