The Austin Black Bears baseball squad (Decatur, AL), was edged 6-5 in Thursday's non-league contest with the host Lawrence County Red Devils (Moulton, AL)

With the triumph, Lawrence County moves its record to 3-16 on the campaign. The Red Devils host Hatton (Town Creek, AL) to face the Hornets in a non-league battle on Friday, April 3. The Hornets enter the battle with a record of 8-12. Hatton won 10-0 in their recent non-league battle against Lexington (Lexington, AL)

Next, the Black Bears face the Russellville Tigers (Russellville, AL) in a non-league battle, on Friday, April 3. Austin will attempt to improve on its 15-7 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 8-13 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Scottsboro (Scottsboro, AL).
