Tennessee High School Baseball - Powell loses to Gibbs

Gibbs Eagles (Corryton, TN) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Powell Panthers (Powell, TN), 5-2 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Gibbs moves its record to 10-6 on the season. The Eagles host Union County (Maynardville, TN) to face the Patriots in a 3A District 4 game on Monday, April 6. The Patriots enter the game with a record of 5-12.

Next, the Panthers face the Union Bears (Big Stone Gap, VA) in a non-league game, on Friday, April 3. Powell will attempt to improve on its 9-13 season record. The Bears enter the game with a 5-1 record after their 19-2 league win over Central Wise (Norton, VA).
