Texas High School Baseball - Karnes City loses to Poth

The Poth Pirates triumphed over the visiting Karnes City Badgers baseball team by a count of 17-3 in Thursday's league test.

The Pirates now own a 16-6 record. They take the field next when they host Goliad for a 3A Region IV District 26 test on Tuesday, April 7. Poth will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 12-0 league win over Nixon-Smiley (Nixon, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 16-6.

The Badgers (4-14) will now prepare for their outing against Luling (Luling, TX). The Eagles go into the 3A Region IV District 26 challenge with a 4-18 record. In their last challenge, Luling was overwhelmed by Stockdale (Stockdale, TX), 8-2, in a league challenge.
