Texas High School Baseball - Porter defeats Pace

April 2, 2026: Brownsville, TX 78521

In Thursday's league match, the host Porter Cowboys baseball squad scored a tight 6-1 triumph over the Pace Vikings.

With the triumph, Porter moves its record to 13-9 on the season. The Cowboys host Weslaco East (Weslaco, TX) to confront the Wildcats in a 5A Region IV District 32 match on Tuesday, April 7. The Wildcats come into the match with a record of 19-3. Weslaco East won 3-2 in their recent league match against Donna (Donna, TX)

The Vikings now possess a 6-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Donna North for a 5A Region IV District 32 game on Tuesday, April 7. Pace will play a Chiefs team coming off a 14-2 league loss to Rivera (Brownsville, TX). The Chiefs record now stands at 7-13.
