The Cumberland Clippers baseball team scored 18 runs and limited the visiting Smithfield Sentinels to 7 in the Clippers league victory on Wednesday.

The Clippers (4-1) will now prepare for their match against Bishop Hendricken (Warwick, RI). The Hawks go into the State Championship Division match with a 5-2 record. In their last match, Bishop Hendricken gained a win over Cranston West (Cranston, RI), 6-0, in a league match.

The Sentinels (1-7) will now prepare for their match against East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI). The Avengers go into the State Championship Division match with a 3-5 record. In their last match, East Greenwich was overwhelmed by Pilgrim (Warwick, RI), 3-2, in a league match.
