Spectators at Wednesday's non-league battle between the South Sumter Raiders (Bushnell, FL) and the host Hudson Cobras (Hudson, FL), saw South Sumter's baseball squad knock off Hudson by a count of 9-4.

Coming up next, the Raiders play the Weeki Wachee Hornets (Weeki Wachee, FL) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, April 21. South Sumter will attempt to move on its 5-12 season record. The Hornets enter the battle with a 2-17 record after their 12-3 non-league loss to Springstead (Spring Hill, FL).

The Cobras now possess a 10-9 record. They take the field next when they host Gulf for a 4A District 6 battle on Thursday, April 21. Hudson will play a Buccaneers squad coming off a 22-8 non-league loss to Seven Rivers Christian (Lecanto, FL). The Buccaneers record now stands at 2-11.
