The Pope Greyhounds baseball team (Marietta, GA), was tipped 5-4 in Wednesday's league outing with the visiting Lassiter Trojans (Marietta, GA)
The Trojans now hold a 21-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Osborne for a AAAAAA Region 6 outing on Thursday, April 21. Lassiter will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 12-2 non-league loss to Temple (Temple, GA). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-22.
Next, the Greyhounds confront the Wheeler Wildcats (Marietta, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 6 outing, on Friday, April 22. Pope will attempt to advance on its 22-7 season record. The Wildcats go into the outing with a 7-19 record after their 10-0 league loss to Kell (Marietta, GA).
