Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Altavista Colonels (Altavista, VA), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Cavaliers now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bassett for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 26.

With the loss, Altavista falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Colonels host Dan River (Ringgold, VA) to battle the Wildcats in a Dogwood challenge on Thursday, April 21. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 6-2. Dan River won 27-1 in their recent league challenge against William Campbell (Naruna, VA)
