The Woodland Regional Hawks routed the visiting Ansonia Chargers softball squad by a final score of 26-0 in Wednesday's league battle.

The Hawks (8-0) will now prepare for their battle against Immaculate (Danbury, CT). The Mustangs go into the non-league battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Immaculate notched a victory over Bunnell (Stratford, CT), 18-6, in a league battle.

The Chargers now possess a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Derby for a Naugatuck Valley - Brass battle on Wednesday, April 20. Ansonia will confront a Red Raiders squad coming off a 24-0 league loss to Woodland Regional (Beacon Falls, CT). The Red Raiders record now stands at 1-7.
