Coleman Comets (Coleman, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Farwell Eagles (Farwell, MI), 12-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Comets now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Vestaburg for a Mid-State challenge on Friday, April 22. Coleman will battle a Wolverines squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Evart (Evart, MI). The Wolverines record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Farwell falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Beaverton (Beaverton, MI) to battle the Beavers in a Jack Pine challenge on Thursday, April 28. The Beavers enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
