Guilford Grizzlies (Guilford, CT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting East Lyme Vikings (East Lyme, CT), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Grizzlies now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Lyman Hall for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 22. Guilford will face a Trojans squad coming off a 10-3 non-league loss to Shelton (Shelton, CT). The Trojans record now stands at 1-6.
With the loss, East Lyme falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Vikings host Ledyard (Ledyard, CT) to face the Colonels in a Eastern Connecticut - Large challenge on Tuesday, April 26. The Colonels enter the challenge with a record of 4-4.
