Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Eastern Randolph Wildcats (Ramseur, NC), 4-0 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they host Wheatmore for a Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A challenge on Friday, April 22. Southwestern Randolph will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 17-12 non-league win over West Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 8-8.

With the loss, Eastern Randolph falls to 11-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Central Davidson (Lexington, NC) to battle the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 21. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 7-5. Central Davidson won 11-1 in their recent league challenge against Asheboro (Asheboro, NC)
