The New Kent Trojans routed the visiting Jamestown Eagles softball squad by a count of 10-2 in Wednesday's league battle.

The Trojans (9-0) will now prepare for their battle against Smithfield (Smithfield, VA). The Packers go into the Bay Rivers battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Smithfield was routed by Grafton (Yorktown, VA), 4-3, in a league game.

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Tabb Tigers (Yorktown, VA) in a Bay Rivers game, on Friday, April 22. Jamestown will attempt to improve on its 0-6 season record. The Tigers come into the game with a 3-3 record after their 11-1 league win over Bruton (Williamsburg, VA).
