Connecticut High School Softball - Southington bounces Maloney

The Southington Blue Knights routed the host Maloney Spartans softball squad by a count of 8-1 in Wednesday's non-league battle.

The Blue Knights (5-0) will now prepare for their battle against Farmington (Farmington, CT). The River Hawks go into the Central Connecticut - West battle with a 0-6 record. In their last battle, Farmington was routed by Maloney (Meriden, CT), 17-2, in a non-league battle.

The Spartans now sport a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Farmington for a non-league battle on Thursday, April 21. Maloney will meet a River Hawks squad coming off a 20-3 non-league loss to Mercy (Middletown, CT). The River Hawks record now stands at 0-5.
