Rhode Island High School Softball - Mt. Hope gets by Middletown

April 20, 2022: Bristol, RI 02809

Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI) and the visiting Middletown Islanders (Middletown, RI), witnessed Mt. Hope's softball squad tip Middletown by a count of 2-1.

The Huskies now sport a 6-0 record. They play next when they travel to Westerly for a Division 2 A match on Thursday, April 21. Mt. Hope will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 10-2 league win over Rogers (Newport, RI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Middletown moves to 3-2 on the season. The Islanders host Narragansett (Narragansett, RI) to face the Mariners in a Division 2 A match on Thursday, April 21. The Mariners go into the match with a record of 3-2. Narragansett won 5-4 in their recent league match against Barrington (Barrington, RI)
