Waynesville Spartans (Waynesville, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Monroe Hornets (Monroe, OH), 14-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southeastern Local for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 21. Waynesville will face a Trojans squad coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to Mechanicsburg (Mechanicsburg, OH). The Trojans record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Monroe falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Hornets host Valley View (Germantown, OH) to face the Spartans in a Southwestern Buckeye - Southwestern challenge on Thursday, April 21.
