Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders (Central Valley, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY), 12-1 in a league challenge.
The Crusaders now own a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they host Ballston Spa for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 21. Monroe-Woodbury will battle a Scotties squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Troy (Troy, NY). The Scotties record now stands at 2-5.
With the loss, Newburgh Free Academy falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Goldbacks travel to Port Jervis (Port Jervis, NY) to battle the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 25. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 0-3.
