North Carolina High School Softball - South Stokes bounces North Surry

The South Stokes Sauras routed the host North Surry Greyhounds softball squad by a count of 14-1 in Wednesday's non-league battle.

The Sauras (13-3) will now prepare for their battle against Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Rams go into the Northwest 1A battle with a 14-1 record. In their last battle, Starmount topped Elkin (Elkin, NC), 9-8, in a league battle.

The Greyhounds now sport a 7-10 record. They play next when they host Mount Airy for a non-league battle on Friday, April 22. North Surry will meet a Granite Bears squad coming off a 4-1 league win over Alleghany (Sparta, NC). The Granite Bears record now stands at 3-13.
