The Fairfield Central Griffins baseball team scored 4 runs and limited the visiting Newberry Bulldogs to 2 in the Griffins non-league victory on Thursday.
The Griffins (10-7) will now prepare for their match against Keenan (Columbia, SC). The Raiders go into the 2A Region 4 match with a 10-4 record. In their last match, Keenan by Fairfield Central (Winnsboro, SC), 11-1, in a league match.
The Bulldogs (2-8) will now prepare for their match against Abbeville (Abbeville, SC). The Panthers go into the 2A Region 2 match with a 9-13 record. In their last match, Abbeville tipped Greenwood Christian (Greenwood, SC), 9-1, in a non-league match.
