Illinois High School Volleyball - Alton over Granite City

Alton Redbirds (Alton, IL) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Granite City Warriors (Granite City, IL), 2-0 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Redbirds clash with the Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL) in a non-league match, on Monday, April 24. Alton will attempt to advance on its 10-10 season record. The Knights come into the match with a 5-10 record after their 2-0 league loss to Marquette Catholic (Alton, IL).

With the loss, Granite City drops to 0-11 on the campaign. The Warriors host Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience (St. Louis, MO) to clash with the in a non-league match on Monday, April 24.
